Last weekend, Granddad came to visit!

We spent some time relaxing at home and enjoying the nice summer weather. The kids love showing off their skills and favorite toys.
Their favorite outdoor toy is a foam rocket that shoots up to 100 feet in the air when you stomp on the inflated pedal. Granddad helped out, then ducked when the rockets came falling back to Earth (much to their amusement).

We also enjoyed dinners out at a couple of our favorite restaurants, including Ethiopian and Chinese (below, with the glass ceiling).
Brielle brought me and Granddad to a birthday party for one of her friends, Ryder. It was at a bowling alley, which was a lot of fun. Brielle's never been bowling before, and she really loved it. We'll have to take her back soon.

Our biggest outing was to wine country. We focused on ones that would have places for the kids to play.

At the Duck Pond winery, the kids enjoyed feeding the koi in the pond and running through the fields.
We had lunch at Ponzi and sipped some wine in the sun. The kids enjoyed coloring and playing with each other.

At Sokol Blosser we continued to enjoy the sunny outdoors.

Brielle and Ronan loved playing with Granddad and having him read them bedtime stories each night. Afterwards, Granddad and Mommy stayed up to continue our tradition of playing Cribbage. I won't reveal who the champion was, but let's just say that Granddad is going home with many good memories...(but not a crown). Thanks for a fantastic visit, Granddad!!!

The next day was Daddy's birthday! Happy Birthday, Daddy!
