Easter, Tulips, and Grandmas!

Spring is finally here! Since Brielle's birthday, we've had a fun month of local outings, friend birthdays, and visits from Grammy, Kelly, and Grandma Pat. The rain has ended for now, and we're having a fantastic sunny weekend. The spring flowers and blooming trees are beautiful in Portland this time of year. Here's the view of the pink "snow" outside of my window at work:

At the beginning of April, Grammy and Kelly made a quick visit to have dinner with us before flying out to stay with Cousin Stella. (Sorry the picture isn't better - I just had my phone at the restaurant.) The kids were very excited to see them and little doggie Emmett.

On Easter, the kids woke up to find that the Easter Bunny had hidden plastic eggs with treats in parts of the house. Later that day, they enjoyed a game where they found clues that led to other clues...

...and finally to a special treat!

Ronan learned some of his silly sense of humor from Brielle. But he's also developed his own funny personality.

He steals Daddy's nose...

...and eats it! What's really funny is that when Daddy steals Ronan's nose and eats it, Ronan grabs it out of Daddy's mouth then puts it in his own mouth, instead of returning it to his face.

The weekend after Easter, the kids had a blast with a visit from Grandma Pat!

Brielle was excited to show Grandma Pat her mermaid tail. She posed for numerous photos and videos.

We also got to celebrate a delayed birthday celebration with gifts from Grandma Pat and Grandma Sue.

Grandma Pat joined us on an outing to OMSI (Oregon Museum of Science and Industry). They had a great exhibit about mazes, brain teasers, and illusions.

Ronan usually refuses to take a nap these days. Unfortunately that means that sometimes in the late afternoon he gets a little pouty. Luckily he usually snaps out of it after a few minutes and enjoys himself.

Back at home the kids showed Grandma Pat their favorite activities, including jumping in unison on the trampoline.

One reason that Grandma Pat decided to visit in April was to visit the Tulip Festival just south of Portland. It's become an annual tradition, and it's always gorgeous. As usual, I had to take a ton of pictures...

Uh oh! Pouty time!

Thanks for a wonderful visit, Grandma Pat!
