For the first half of spring break, we enjoyed a nice, long visit from Grandma Pat! This photo was taken 30 stories up at the Portland City Grill. We have a tradition of meeting there for lunch after she arrives.
We spent the next few days playing and going out to restaurants.
We surprised Brielle with an early birthday present from Mommy and Daddy - a new mermaid tail! She's been asking for weeks if she's going to get one, so we wanted to give it to her first. She was very excited.
We had another surprise for Brielle. Mommy and Daddy were staying at a hotel for the night, and they chose one with an indoor heated pool so Brielle could try out her tail.
The next day it was time for Brielle's birthday party! The theme was "optical illusions", believe it or not. Brielle loves watching "Brain Games" with Mommy, and she's become interested in illusions. Seemed like a unique party theme. Decorating for it was fun.
We started off by playing games, like "illusion bingo", dance party freeze, and snowball toss.
The party was small, due to spring break. But it was a manageable size for a house party, and the kids seemed to have a great time.
