Last weekend we traveled to Indianapolis to celebrate Thanksgiving and early Christmas at Cousin Stella's house! We had a really long delay at the airport, but we were relieved that the flight wasn't canceled and we made it by nighttime. The kids were amazingly patient. They're so easy to travel with now.

The cousins easily bonded again. It was down to freezing temperatures there, but the snow didn't show up until right after we left.
The kids stayed in Stella's room, and Kraig and I got the basement. Not only was it comfortable and quiet, but we got exclusive use of their amazing massage chair. I've never experienced anything like it. It's very intense, like there's someone in the chair punching and poking your back. The kids get thrown back and forth, which is really funny to watch.
This trip was our first opportunity to see Grammy's new place. I was honored that she put up my painting of Emmett.
The kids were in charge of decorating the Thanksgiving table and impressed everyone with their turkey made out of a pumpkin and fruit skewers.

Dinner was a pretty large gathering, with us, Stella's family (Uncle
Todd and Aunt Amy), Grammy, Papa Duane and Nana Karen, and Todd's
parents, John and Miriam.

The next day we headed out to a beautiful winery in Bloomington.
With Thanksgiving over, it was time to start celebrating Christmas!

Our trip home was only slightly delayed, so much smoother. It was wonderful seeing everyone and enjoying some early gifts. Thanks for being such great hosts, Amy, Todd, and Stella!
