Art Night and Launch Night

Tonight the kids' school held an Art Night to showcase each student's best work of art. The event also included music, food, and a chance to play with friends.

Brielle was proud of her realistic snowman drawing. We were proud too.

Ronan also showed off his colorful abstract art.

A cool part of the exhibit was a long wall of self-portraits that changed in color across the wall to create a huge rainbow of shades. Brielle's self-portrait is the one in the middle of this section.

We knew that a launch of the Falcon Heavy rocket was due for 6:35 at Cape Canaveral, so after the art show we drove out to the beach to see it go up. It's amazing that we can see launches this far away when the skies are clear. And just like the last Falcon Heavy launch, we heard the delayed rumble of take-off about eight minutes later, which is really cool.

It was a perfect evening at the beach, so of course we stayed a while to play.
