Brielle just turned 8 months old! Here are some of our favorite photos from this last month.

Brielle's most exciting development happened right when she turned 7 months old - she started to crawl! After months of frustration when she could only squirm and crawl backwards, she finally figured it out. We helped train her to crawl by placing exciting adult forbidden objects (like the phone) in front of her...

We were so happy for her that she gained better motor control and could move pretty easily between crawling, sitting, and lying down. But then we decided to show her how to stand up. Oh no...she was only happy about crawling for a week, then she became frustrated about not being able to stand on her own! She LOVES standing up, assisted by Mommy or Daddy or by the wall on her play area. Holding onto the wall, she can stand for several minutes. She particularly enjoys mouthing the top of the wall and gets really excited about being high enough to see over the edge.

Brielle continues to be completely fascinated by Icky. She squeals with excitement when he gets within view of her play area, she reaches out to pet (or sometimes grab) him, and now she can crawl towards him. Luckily Icky is very patient with her. Still, we have to monitor the situation to make sure that she doesn't accidentally get too rough with him.
This is a little early, but we went ahead and took some Christmas photos of our family so we could send out family Christmas cards for the first time. Here are some of the shots with Brielle in her Santa hat.

As I'm sure you've noticed, Brielle's hair is growing in VERY slowly. This is kind of wrong, but we did wonder what she might look like with hair, so we put a wig on her.
Brielle enjoyed a couple of family visits during this month. Grandpa Taylor and Linda came to see her and brought her wonderful gifts.
Grammy came up a couple times to help celebrate Halloween and to take care of Brielle while Mommy went to work. Grammy Barbara has come to visit so often that Brielle definitely remembers her and is sad when she leaves.
Here are some other nice shots of Brielle from this last month...
