Here are some photos from Brielle's first Halloween! First - the pumpkin, in honor of Brielle's brother, Icarus...
I think Brielle was a little disappointed that Mommy isn't skilled enough to carve a Brielle pumpkin, but she loves Icky so she was okay with it. Grammy Barbara visited to help us celebrate.
Brielle was very cooperative about getting into the costume - she actually seemed to enjoy dressing up! We thought that wouldn't happen until she was older.
And here's the final costume -she was a "Pirate Princess".
Mommy and Daddy also dressed up as pirates.
Don't worry - it's plastic...
We decided to celebrate as a family at home, rather than going trick-or-treating this year.
We didn't see a single trick-or-treater, which wasn't surprising given where our house is. More candy for us!
