Brielle turns 11 months old tomorrow! Here are some of our favorite photos and memories from the past month...
The big news this month was that Brielle started walking! She started with taking a couple steps to move between Daddy and Grammy Barbara and falling into their arms.
But her walking isn't just forward momentum followed by a fall. She's able to take steps slowly and stop in between to steady herself. By the end of this month she was able to take up to 7 steps then stop and stand for a couple minutes.
She's so comfortable with standing that she wants to stand to do everything (sometimes including diaper changes, unfortunately). She's developed a really cute way of standing while downing a bottle of milk.
Brielle received a lot of wonderful toys for Christmas. With her new abilities to move around, she's particularly enjoyed crawling over pillows and flopping down on her friend, Jilly the Giraffe.
Here you can see her two new top teeth.
Her favorite toys are still Mommy and Daddy. She crawls over us, tries to stand on us, and loves it when we chase her, bounce her, and play "Upsy Baby".
Last month Brielle started saying "Momma" for the first time.
This month, Brielle celebrated her first Valentine's Day. She enjoyed the cards she received from family members.
Her whole life, Brielle has been extremely aware of when she's being photographed or filmed. We have to try to hide the camera from her to try to catch candid moments. She really wants to get her hands on Mommy's camera.
"I said give it to me!"
Brielle is looking forward to celebrating her 1st birthday with several family visits next month, and she's excited that she'll be seeing other family members and friends during the summer.
