Grammy and Kelly Visit!

This last weekend, Brielle had a really fun visit with Grammy Barbara and Kelly.

Grammy brought Brielle a bunch of new clothes that will be perfect for the colder weather.

Brielle showed off her throwing skills. She has a surprisingly strong and accurate overhand pitch.

Brielle loved throwing the ball to Kelly.

Grammy asked to participate, but Brielle was obsessed with throwing to Kelly.

Look out, Kelly! She's got a powerful arm!

On Saturday we all went on a journey down to wine country. Brielle was really happy to have Grammy and Kelly sitting next to her.

Into the first winery...

It was a foggy November day, but at least it wasn't raining and the golden vines looked beautiful.

We let Brielle loose...and away she went! She loved running around the tasting rooms.

At other times she wanted to sit in big-people chairs.

Brielle enjoyed finding objects and carrying them around, like this "dun dun" (pumpkin).

At one winery, Brielle got a tasting of grape juice.

Brielle was energetic but well-behaved, earning positive attention from other winery guests. Here's her reaction to being the center of attention.

At Winter's Hill Winery, we had a little surprise for Brielle on the way outside.

Her reaction? "MOOO!"

Close...it was a horse!

A couple had been visiting with an "equestrian wine tour" so their horses were outside.

Brielle was really excited to get so close to the horses. But we think she was a little intimidated by their size so she didn't actually reach out to pet them. This meeting was definitely the highlight of the trip for her. She loves animals.
It was a long day, visiting several different wineries, but Brielle didn't get fussy. She loved getting the chance to run around and see new people and new environments.
And of course she loved spending time with Grammy. Hopefully we'll do it again soon.
