During Christmas in LA, we also enjoyed visits with Kraig's family - Aunt Kelly...

...Uncle Tim...

...Kelly and Tim's cat...

..."Kitty!"...

...Aunt Amy...

...Uncle Todd, Cousin Stella...

...and of course, Grammy!

On Christmas Eve, we enjoyed a visit from friends of Kelly and Tim, including their daughters, Dana and Monica.

"Bye bye. Thanks for coming over to play!"

Brielle showed off some of her dance moves to Cousin Stella.

Stella looked precious in a beautiful dress she inherited from Brielle.

Kisses for Stella...

Grammy read the girls a Christmas story before bedtime.

And more kisses for Stella!

On Christmas morning we gathered at Kelly and Tim's house to open stockings and presents.

"Hm...looks like Stella's getting good stuff. I'd better check this out..."

"Where's Stella?..."

"THERE's Stella!"

Grammy was happy to get a calendar featuring photos of her granddaughters.

Brielle and Stella enjoyed the art supplies they received for Christmas.

"Merry Christmas, Cousin Stella!"

Next, we headed out to the valley so Brielle could meet Great Grandma Anna-Marie.

Brielle was full of energy and enjoyed running in circles around the house. She also got to meet Great Aunt Anita (not pictured) and Kraig's Cousin, Lara, for the first time.

They gave Stella and Brielle matching penguin toys.

A couple days after Christmas, we went to Knott's Berry Farm - Brielle's first amusement park!

Even though it was a Monday, the sunshine and warm weather brought out a ton of visitors. We definitely enjoyed feeling the sun, but didn't enjoy the long lines. Brielle sometimes got squirmy during the wait. Daddy and Grammy tried to keep her entertained in line.

When she could see the ride she was waiting for, the anticipation was enough to keep her happy.

Our first stop was a train ride. It was one of the few ones that Stella was big enough to go on.

Much of the train ride involved going through a dark mining tunnel, but Brielle didn't get scared.

Brielle got to ride a bear on the carousel.

She seemed a little concerned about the bear going up and down, but we think she enjoyed it.

Grammy was kind enough to spend time with Brielle while Mommy and Daddy rode roller coasters. There wasn't anywhere safe for Brielle to run around, so she patiently waited in the stroller. Stella managed to fit in a nap.
The roller coasters were a lot of fun (except for the 1-hour wait for each). But the highlight of the day for us was watching Brielle enjoy one of her favorite activities, driving a fast car!

Daddy sat in the passenger seat. The ride whipped around the corner very quickly, which Brielle loved.
While in line she had seen the older kids holding their hands in the air while the car sped around. She wanted to show that she could do it too!
It was a beautiful day and a fun outing for everyone.
We stayed at the park until dark. For her final ride, Brielle took the steering wheel atop a truck and drove around a track...until the ride broke down...Time to go home...
Our plans to visit so many people in LA were ambitious, but we had a fantastic time. Brielle loved experiencing new places and seeing her extended family. Happy New Year, everyone!
