Last weekend, we enjoyed a fun visit with Grandma Pat and Grandma Sue!

We took advantage of the beautiful weather to visit the Rose Garden. To our surprise, hardly any roses were in bloom despite this being "Rose Festival" time. It must have been because the sunny days arrived late this year. Brielle found one blooming bush to sniff.
Brielle sat with the Grandmas for a photo. She has a funny "fake smile" that she sometimes uses for photos.
"That's enough - I'm outa here!"

Since there weren't many roses to look at, we decided to go up to the Japanese Garden next door. Brielle thought the shuttle ride up was fun.

We didn't bring a stroller. Brielle is big enough to walk around on her own.

The next day we headed out to the Iris Gardens. We had been unlucky with the roses, but the good news was that the late bloom season meant that we were able to catch the irises during their peak, even though it was already June.

There were large fields of irises along the road, but the viewing area was a gorgeous arrangement of irises and other flowers, making it easy to see many varieties together.

The first thing Brielle noticed when we entered the garden was a huge teddy bear sitting on a bench. She was hesitant at first.
Then she decided it was a friend.

Brielle enjoyed exploring the grounds.
Looks like someone had a little too much!
And of course we spent time at home playing.

Thank you for a wonderful visit, "Mah Mah Pat" and "Mah Mah Sue"!
