It's actually "Kelly", but when Brielle says his name, it sounds like "Telly!" (and it always has an exclamation point at the end). Brielle loves Grammy's boyfriend, Kelly, so she had a great time when Grammy and Kelly visited last weekend. I was excited too. They came up to help us create three yard structures/planters for our yard. I designed the planters, but Kelly got all the materials and built everything himself while Grammy helped out with Brielle. I only helped with the staining afterwards. Brielle loved watching Kelly work and learning about the different tools he was using.
She provided some direction to help Kelly get the job done.
The finished products look wonderful! There's a tomato planter with a hanging strawberry container. You can't see it in the picture below, but there's a section in the front for a row of flowers.
Kelly also built another structure for blueberries and grapes. It's not pictured here, but I'll upload new photos of the completed project after all the construction and staining is done.
When she wasn't visiting Kelly in the backyard, Brielle had a great time playing with Grammy. She showed off her hip hop moves from her favorite dance video.
And of course we all played Brielle's current favorite game - "Kick ball!"

Brielle is old enough now that she understands what "good bye" means, and she gets sad that she won't see Grammy and Kelly for a while (actually, we're going to their house this weekend, but she doesn't understand that we'll see them again soon). This was the moment when they told her they had to leave. Her expression says it all.

"Bye bye May May and Telly..."
Here are some other photos from the past couple weeks. Brielle really likes painting on her new easel.
Whether it's finger paints or regular paints, it always ends up on her hands. Luckily she's really good about not touching the furniture when her hands have paint on them. Phew!
Another fun event this month was a party at our house for Mommy's workmates. The crew from CFAR came to our house for a summer party and brought their kids. Everyone ran around, enjoying the new backyard and playing ball.
It's a friend pyramid!
