Snow!

Winter in Portland has been mild this year (thankfully!). But yesterday it finally started to snow. 

As soon as she saw snow, Brielle recalled the snowy adventures she's watched Caillou having and got excited to go play. She really wanted to make a snow angel, but at first the snow on the ground was too thin for that, so we played inside. Brielle played a lot with her toy friends, hosting indoor picnics and getting them down for their naps. She's also started regularly giving names to her toys, including "Bayboo" (the baby boy doll), "Denin" the purple dog, and "Goofy" the soft puppy.

She also enjoyed doing arts and crafts with Mommy. Brielle has been interested in crowns, so we made her one. I helped her with the letters, but she painted it purple and added the sparkles.

 

She proudly wore the crown with her sparkly skirt and announced that she's "Princess Brielle!"

 

Finally, later in the afternoon, there was a thin coat of snow on the ground...time for snow angels!

 

"Big one too!" Brielle said to Mommy. Mommy knew what that meant.

 

After playing in the snow for a while, we warmed up inside with hot chocolate.

 

The snow continued to fall, so Daddy took out Brielle in the evening to make a snowman. We're not sure why, but she said his name was "Artray". What a fun day.
