January fun

The snowy weather intensified after our last blog entry, resulting in about 6 inches on the ground. 

Brielle didn't go outside to play, but she enjoyed seeing animal friends visit through the windows. A Mommy deer...

...and a baby deer!

 

Brielle made sure that her squirrel and chipmunk friends had food during the cold weather. Here's "Gwor" sitting on a little chair, eating corn off a table. The feeder is attached to one of the new planters.

 

Brielle also loves playing with her toy animal friends. She uses different voices to have them talk to each other. Usually they're talking about going somewhere to play...

"Hi. What are you doing?"

"Taking train to the zoo! Wanna come?"

"OK"

"Come on!"

 

Brielle's favorite toys right now are her Jessie and Bullseye dolls. She's "Toy Story" crazy and wants to watch one of the three movies in the series every day. Then when the movie ends she says, "Again!"

The exciting event of this month was a visit from Grammy and Kelly! Grammy had been helping out with Brielle's new cousin, Emmy, so Brielle hadn't seen them for almost 2 months. She was very happy to see them again.

 

She had a lot of Christmas gifts to show them and a lot of talking to show off. It's so fun to have her speaking in full sentences and to have conversations with her. And, of course, she's starting to say funny things that make us laugh out loud, like, "Oh no. More boogers!" It's also amusing that she's finally saying phrases that Mommy and Daddy say, like, "I'll be right back", "Wait a minute...", and "I said NO." A common phrase right now is "By self!" (I'll do it by myself).

 

Grammy and Kelly are helpful to Mommy and Daddy in many ways when they visit. Kelly quickly went to work to fix some running water in the downstairs toilet. Brielle was very interested in the process.

She also put Kelly to work as a playmate.

Brielle loves wearing her Jessie outfit, but she also had fun with a new princess dress.
