The holiday was beautiful with sunny weather in the 70s. We decided to head out to a beach on Sauvie Island, on the north end of Portland.
We hadn't been there before, so we weren't sure what to expect. The ocean beaches tend to be windier and colder than Portland, but here it was just pleasant and sunny. It's a huge island with many farms and opportunities for U-Pick berries, which we'll probably try later. Brielle loved playing in the sand.
The river water was too cold for swimming, so Daddy took Brielle into the hot tub after we got home.
We played and barbecued in the backyard.
We're still waiting for Brielle's little brother (due date is 10 days away).
