Ronan's first trip to Bandon!

It's hard to believe that the last time we went to Bandon was for Ronan's baby shower last May. Brielle loves visiting Grammy and Kelly in Bandon (as do we) so we were long overdue for a trip down there. And this was Ronan's first time going there!
Traveling was pretty easy at this age, since Ronan isn't crawling yet. We didn't have to bring Playzone walls or worry about him falling onto dangerous furniture. We just packed some foam pads and a big blanket and he was safe and happy.

Brielle was happy to see that her indoor swing was still set up. Tinker Bell took many rides..."Kelly...Push me!"

Brielle helped Ronan enjoy the swing. She's such a fun big sister.

Brielle played a game where she caught Ronan ("I saved you!"), then she'd pretend that he got away and say, "Oh no! There goes the baby!" as she pushed him back in the swing. Ronan was concerned at first...

...but then he understood that Brielle was just helping him have fun.

Kelly had a great time with Ronan and Brielle. He's a natural with the kids.

Brielle was happy to see Rosie again and take her on walks. She thought it was funny that Rosie looked surprising like her Mr. Magoo doll. Ronan was fascinated to be so close to a doggie.

The weather was decent during our trip, so we enjoyed a walk around the neighborhood with Grammy.

We walked to Grammy's friend, June's, house. During every visit, Brielle visits June to receive some wonderful grandma attention, get a thoughtful present, and play in her amazingly landscaped yard. There are so many fun things to explore.

Back at Grammy and Kelly's house, Brielle adorned her beloved Tinker Bell outfit and Ronan dressed up in his baby tuxedo.

Time for more swinging!

The kids also enjoyed a fun visit with Grandpa Taylor and Linda.

We were all impressed when Brielle took a seat at the piano and started playing. At first we suggested that they not allow her to sit there because we assumed that she was just going to bang on the keys. But Brielle sat down and carefully touched the keys softly as though she were a concert pianist. As she played, she softly sang a song she wrote herself. It was quite beautiful.
Despite the cool February weather, we drove out to the nearby beach. We knew that Brielle really wanted to play on the beach so we tried to make it happen. Unfortunately, it was pretty cold. Still, Daddy took Brielle down to the beach for a little while, while Mommy and Ronan enjoyed the beach view from the car.

We had a wonderful visit to Bandon. Grammy and Kelly's house is so comfortable and fun for the kids. We're looking forward to Grammy and Kelly's visit for Brielle's birthday next month!
