Pumpkin patch

Last weekend we took a trip to a local pumpkin patch! We thought we might make this visit later in October, but the weather was really nice, so we took advantage of the opportunity. We went to Roloff Farms, owned by the stars of the reality show, "Little People, Big World". I've only seen the show once, but we recognized the mom greeting visitors during our trip. Last year Ronan was a little baby. But this time he could walk around and enjoy frolicking in the pumpkin fields.

Brielle is really into mermaids right now, and fortunately she got to meet some.

The property was decorated with beautifully carved pumpkins.

I love this action shot of Ronan running to keep up with Brielle.

Brielle chose a pumpkin, and we baked the seeds. We're going to another pumpkin patch later this month with her Spanish school, so we'll have other opportunities to carve jack-o-lanterns.

Besides the pumpkin patch, the farm had a ton of other activities, including a petting zoo, a bouncy house, a corn maze, a sling shot, slides, trains, climbing structures, and a scary path through the woods...

Daddy took Ronan to the top of a large hay bale pyramid.

The kids played together in teepees.

We had a great time at the farm. We'll go to at least one more pumpkin patch, and we're looking forward to several Halloween celebrations, including a party at our house with coworkers and their kids. We're also looking forward to fun visits this month from Grandma Pat and Grammy Barbara and Kelly.
