September

What happened to September? This is the longest I've gone (over a month) without posting a blog update. It wasn't busier than usual, yet the time just seemed to fly by. And we didn't take any big trips anywhere, so there haven't been as many photos. But we did have a fun month doing family activities...

...like BBQ for Labor Day weekend...

...playing in the backyard kiddie pool...

...and going to the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry (OMSI).

Brielle took this photo of me outside of OMSI. Good job, Brielle!

Kraig and Brielle also have a tradition of going on a fun outing together every Saturday, often to local amusement parks, indoor play structures, bookstores, or arcades. I just don't have photos because I was home having special time with Ronan. Since Brielle's "Spanish School" gets out at 3, I also have a couple of hours to give her special attention or go somewhere fun together before we pick up Ronan. Pump It Up has been one of her favorites.

Luckily, Brielle is still really enjoying Spanish School, and she's even started speaking a little Spanish at home and asking to watch Finding Nemo in Spanish. Drawing is still her favorite activity, and she's extremely talented and prolific. Ronan's been an amazingly steady walker for a long time now, and now he's a great furniture climber (unfortunately). He loves playing hide and seek, opening and closing greeting cards that make music, and watching videos of Brielle on my computer. He's communicating a lot more - he uses a little bit of sign language but mostly points and grunts. He clearly says "ma ma" and "da da" and has said, "banana" a couple of times. Other than that, he likes to say "diaper", "dog", and "dup", but they all sounds like "duh" at this point. It's great to see the two of them playing together more and more. Brielle's ideas for Halloween costumes change day to day, so we'll see later this month what she decides...
