The final Christmas celebration happened across the 25th and 26th (since Ronan was napping late on the 25th). This time we were joined by Grandma Pat and Grandma Sue!
The kids were so excited to see them and to open more gifts.
There was one gift from Grandma Pat to Ronan that we saved for last. I knew that if he opened it earlier, he'd pay no attention to subsequent gifts. It's the side-stepping Abominable Snowman that he fell in love with during Thanksgiving in Indiana!
It was still cold, and several of us still had colds, but we made one big group excursion outside to the World Forestry Center Museum. It was actually just one train stop away.
We had never been there before, and it was really nice (especially with almost no other visitors!). There were hands-on activities and several video-assisted "rides" where the kids could pretend they were felling trees, riding the train, taking a lift high up into the treetops, or riding the rapids in a river.
For a while there it seemed as though the drinking fountains were going to be Ronan's favorite exhibit. Luckily, he hasn't figured out yet how the water turns on. He just accidentally pushes the button with his wrist. Then when he moves his hand to grab at the water, it mysteriously turns off.
Back at home, Grandma Pat and Grandma Sue did an amazing job at entertaining the kids. Thank you so much for letting the parents sleep in!
And of course we needed to have another cousin dance party for the Grandmas.
And don't forget the traditional cousin bath, now with four cousins!
