1st Christmas with Grammy & Kelly

Just like for Halloween, we set up the "Christmas room" early so that we can enjoy a full month of decorations in the library. We were also fortunate to enjoy an early Christmas celebration at our house with Grammy and Kelly!

This was Ginny's very first Christmas, and she was very excited by the process of setting up the tree and ornaments. It was a perfect storm with the kids putting all the ornaments at the bottom of the tree and Ginny being able to knock them down. She also loved chasing the Thomas train that winds around the bottom of the tree. Our wild little kitty caused some mayhem, but at least she didn't climb all the way up the tree and take it down!

This was the first event where I got to try out my new camera - thanks Granddad Scott and Grandma Pat! I didn't have a chance to really learn about how to use it properly, and the photo editing program on the computer has changed to something that seems confusing and less useful, but I'm sure I'll get it figured out.
Inspired by all the wrapped presents under the tree, Brielle went to work locating empty boxes, filling them with "gifts" for everyone, and sticking a bow on top. She's such a sweetheart.

She prepared a couple of homemade gifts for Ginny too.

And Ginny enjoyed "helping" everyone unwrap their gifts.

Ronan loved playing with the train under the tree - he's really into trains right now.

We all had fun spending time with Grammy and Kelly and opening our first gifts.

Thank you, Grammy and Kelly, for a wonderful visit. And thank you to all of our friends and family who couldn't visit for the wonderful, thoughtful gifts!
