In the days leading up to Christmas we enjoyed visits from Granddad Scott, Uncle Kevin, Aunt Anoosh, and Cousins Sylvia and Tavio! The last time the cousins were at our house was during Christmas two years ago. Back then the four of them squished into the bath together several times. Now that they're older and bigger, we figured that would be a thing of the past...Nope! They did it again! And again!
Before celebrating the holiday, Uncle Kevin had a great idea...we put the kids in a drop-in childcare center and the adults sneaked out to see the new Star Wars movie! Here's the proof (that is, here's me, Kevin, and Granddad blocking the Star Wars sign).
Everyone was excited to meet Ginny for the first time. All the kids wanted to play with her, and the grownups enjoyed kitty lap time.
At dinners we had a "kids table"...
In the evening, Sylvia and Tavio got to join Brielle and Ronan for their favorite activity - Dance Party! (Ronan was a little shy for this first one.)
Amazingly, the kids did a great job all sleeping together in the same room. No one was sick. No one had crying fits during the night. They're really growing up! Aunt Anoosh read them stories.
Our Christmas celebration was on the 24th, since Granddad was flying out really early Christmas morning.
The grandkids got Granddad the traditional photo calendar.
All the parents got one too.
Ronan was interested in the amazing photo book that Uncle Kevin and Aunt Anoosh made for Tavio. It inlcuded photos of trains, train tracks, RR crossing signs, and Sylvia and Tavio in train-themed locations.
Everyone had a great time and received fun, thoughtful gifts.

Granddad and I don't have anyone else who is willing to play cribbage with us, so we try to fit in as many games as we can during our visits. At the end of our visit I was in the lead, as far as the number of games won. I decided we could play one more game to see if we could end with a tie. But Granddad played such a good game that he "skunked" me and became the new reigning champion!
Thanks for a wonderful Christmas visit, Granddad! Kevin, Anoosh, Sylvia, and Tavio got to stay with us a few more days!
