Grammy Barbara and Kelly came up to Portland to visit us for the long Memorial Day weekend!
The timing was great because they were here to help me celebrate my birthday.
Grammy made a yummy lemon cake for us.
With Grammy and Kelly here to watch the kids, Kraig and I were able to travel to wine country to celebrate my birthday. The weather was beautiful, and we had a great time.
For dinner we went to my new favorite Japanese restaurant with the "sushi train" conveyor belt. The kids are obsessed with watching the dishes drift by, and sometimes they grab the dishes they like.
For the rest of the weekend, we enjoyed hanging out with Grammy and Kelly and playing outside in the nice weather.
We put a leash on Ginny to give her a chance to join us outside. She often hangs out by the door and acts like she wants to run outside. But when we actually take her out with the leash, she's surprisingly tentative and doesn't get more than a couple feet beyond the door.
Time for a picnic...
The kids love playing with balls outside. Ronan had a great time challenging Daddy to a ball fight...
