On May 21st, we took a short trip to southern Washington to attend a Taekwondo competition. This is the first competition that Brielle has been in since she competed at Nationals in Austin last July. We gave her a break for a while because being on the competition team was pretty time-intensive. But even though she's not currently on the team, she can still participate in competitions when she wants.
She competed as a red belt in the ages 7 - 8 group, and as you can see below, the poomsaes we do are becoming more advanced. We're currently "poom" or "deputy" belts, which are red and black. It essentially means that we're black belt candidates. As always, we were impressed by Brielle's ability to focus and make clear, bold moves during her competitions.
