Thanksgiving 2019

For Thanksgiving this year, we were fortunate to have wonderful holiday celebrations with many family members. Although it wasn't technically a Thanksgiving celebration, we had a great visit in Gainesville with Granddad and Sujata. The kids were excited to use their scooters at the skate park near Granddad's house.

Sujata's birthday was in October, but we were able to give her a belated birthday gift in person - a decorated photo frame with school photos from the kids and a scarf I crocheted. We all played with it, putting it over our heads after Sujata modeled it this way.

Soon after we returned home, Grammy showed up to spend some time with us before meeting other relatives in DeLand for Thanksgiving dinner.

We had a great time going to the beach, seeing an incredible sunset at the pier, and playing miniature golf.

The Nights of Lights in downtown St. Augustine run from before Thanksgiving until early February. So we got an early chance to experience the Christmas spirit while Grammy was in town.

Prior to leaving for DeLand, the kids set up a Thanksgiving table celebration for all their friends. It was super-cute, especially when Ginny crashed the party.

And here's the real Thanksgiving table, elegantly decorated by Nana.

The kids were excited to find Cousin Stella (and Aunt Amy and Uncle Todd) when we arrived at Papa and Nana's house.

The kids hadn't seen each other in months, but they immediately picked up where they left off, playing happily. Stella has only been taking guitar lessons for a few weeks, but she is already very talented. She played songs while Brielle sang.

 Happy Thanksgiving!

And the kids' table...

Our Tradition is to have an early Christmas celebration with Papa and Nana the day after Thanksgiving. We all enjoyed an early gift exchange with each other.

The kids worked on a dance routine to entertain the adults.

After our early Christmas in DeLand, Amy, Todd, and Stella came to stay at our house. The kids enjoyed the hot tub and the beach.

And, of course, miniature golf!

Thank you to our family for wonderful Thanksgiving visits!
