She enjoyed a "pajama day" as she opened gifts from family. And, as always, she did a good job posing for all of the "thank you" emails we'll be sending out. If you can't read the paper she's holding, it says, "Granddad is getting me singing lessons!" She was very excited about that.
Ginny loves family gatherings, especially when gifts are involved.
Brielle received wonderful gifts from grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins. Ronan gave her some chocolates she loves. The kids spent the afternoon playing with her new gifts.
She took breaks for phone calls and video chats.
A birthday party with friends is obviously on hold. Interestingly, she didn't mention anything about it on her birthday except to ask a friend, "Why did my birthday have to happen during coronavirus?!" I think she understands and just sees it as unfortunate (rather than devastating). At least we had a really nice celebration at home with her. It ended with take-out dinner from Mellow Mushroom (vegan pizza), a movie, and vegan banana cream pie.
