I forgot to include this photo in Ronan's birthday blog update. The kids often make "forts" or use blankets and pillows to have a "cozy party", and sometimes they beg us to let them sleep in it. When they're in living room areas, we say "no" because we don't want to have to tiptoe around them later in the evening. But we did tell Ronan that they could have a special slumber party the night of his birthday.
We would have considered letting them sleep in the tent on the lanai, but with the heat and thunderstorms that wasn't an option. Luckily they were completely happy taking over the TV room. here's their creation!
We had a short period of difficulty when they realized Ginny would be on the loose and could visit them and get "wild" during the night. She would have loved to be with them (she loves their forts), but they just couldn't trust her to not attack their feet when they sleep. We ultimately used a barrier to close her off in another area of the house so they were able to enjoy their night.
