Last weekend our family went to Las Vegas!

I'd say it was an ambitious idea to make the trip, since it's always difficult to travel with two young kids (especially with a lap toddler on the plane). But we were lucky to have Grammy with us! She sat on the plane between Brielle and Mommy/Ronan and helped out a ton. Of course, at this age, Brielle is extremely easy and just enjoys the ride.
(I apologize for the low quality of these photos. I left my "real" camera at home and just used my phone.)
Brielle was really excited that we were staying in a castle (Excalibur Hotel & Casino). She had fun the first afternoon walking down the street and checking out the huge, interesting buildings. We thought that Ronan might have trouble staying in his stroller, but he did great! He just looked around and took in all the sights.
We ate dinner at our favorite Chinese restaurant - Chin Chin in New York New York next door. Ronan and I were so happy to finally be able to eat tofu and edamame again.
At the hotel, we had adjoining suites with a great view of the strip. This kids loved running around between the two rooms. It's a great age where they find being in a hotel room the greatest thing ever.
Unfortunately, the first night Brielle got sick. We were hoping to show the kids more of Vegas the next day, but we spent most of the day in the room while she recovered. Kraig and I snuck downstairs with Ronan to let him play in the "Fun Dungeon" while she took a nap. Most of the games were for older kids, but he still had a great time.
Daddy helped him win a prize ball, which made him extremely happy. He's very into balls right now. The teachers at school tell us he's much more coordinated and skilled when playing with balls than the other toddlers. He yells out "ball!" whenever he sees something round.
Luckily, by late afternoon Brielle was feeling much better. We had time to run over to Mandalay Bay to see the Shark Reef aquarium.
The attraction had a couple of tunnels where you can walk through the aquarium with sharks and other animals swimming overhead.

Brielle borrowed my phone to take some photos of her own, like this.

My favorite part of any aquarium is usually the jelly fish. Brielle said it was her favorite too.

Thank you, Grammy, for joining us on this adventure and taking care of the kids in the evening!
