Last weekend, Granddad came to visit!

Granddad got to watch Brielle enjoying the large pool that he got Ronan for his birthday. She's slowly getting a little less obsessed with mermaids, but she still loves swimming and takes every chance she can to put on her goggles and go under the water (even in the bathtub).
Granddad was lucky to witness Ronan's first effort to draw a face! Interestingly, it was by using his finger on my phone. Later he showed that he's also able to draw faces on paper. This was the first time we saw Ronan draw something other than scribbles (No offense, Ronan). He sometimes would make marks then state, "It's a plane", but it was unclear if he intended to draw a plane or if he looked at the scribbles and thought it ended up looking like a plane.
I felt well enough to take Granddad to a couple of our favorite restaurants, including Mandarin Cove and Queen of Sheba.

One night the kids made their own pizzas.
On Granddad's last full day, I finally felt well enough to travel. We went to wine country! We picked wineries where the kids could also have some fun.

At Duck Pond the kids were given food to feed the fish.
Ronan has several versions of his sweet smile. This is his "smile for the camera" one.The weather was beautiful and we had a great day.
Spending a lot of time with Granddad at home had one benefit - we fit in a lot of games of Cribbage. I don't want to brag about who is still wearing the Cribbage Crown, so I'll just say that we had a lot of fun...
