Happy 3rd Birthday, Ronan!

Tuesday, July 14th, was Ronan's 3rd birthday! We can't believe our little boy is finally a preschooler. But he's been growing great and has advanced so much in his speech and physical and social abilities. We decided to throw him a party on the Saturday before his birthday. The theme was "cars", or more specifically, "car symbols", since he loves pointing out the names of the cars when he sees them.

Here were his cupcakes...

We set out some snacks for guests, including fruit made into little cars.

Grammy Barbara and Kelly came down for a few days to help up celebrate and play with the kids.
For the party, local relatives came over to celebrate with Roan, including Kraig's cousin Eric and his wife, Danielle, Great Uncle Phil, and Great Aunt Karen (Papa Duane's sister).

For the adults, I continued my tradition of making wine charms to match the theme of the party. This year it was cars and car symbols. I made ones that matched the cars of the guests.

Ronan's favorite car symbol is the Cadillac, or "Daddy car!"

Ronan received a lot of great gifts from family members. We've had a lot of fun, new things to play with. He was really appreciative of the things he received and was great about posing for photos after opening each gift.

Brielle also got to open some gifts from Mommy and Daddy and from Monica and Mia in Florida.

Ronan sometimes gets a little shy when there's a lot of attention on him. He did great during his party, except for hiding behind Mommy for a couple of minutes when everyone started singing the happy birthday song. But he quickly became brave in order to sit down and eat his cupcake.

We had a fantastic birthday weekend. Thank you to everyone for the gifts and to Grammy and Kelly for the great visit and for helping out with everything. We're looking forward to a wonderful year with our fun 3-year-old!
