Brielle's first taekwondo competition

Yesterday was Brielle's first taekwondo competition! She's the youngest member of the team from our dojang, and we were kind of nervous about her being nervous, but she was actually excited. We got to the tournament early and saw some sparring and several large demo teams putting on an incredible show. Brielle asked when it was her turn, and also took some time for some last minute practice. When her time came, she had to go off by herself to a prep area and was very brave and handled herself very well. She and another little girl then did different forms at the same time, and she did great! She didn't hesitate or make mistakes and all that practice really paid off. Master Ha (in the background) looked very proud of her. She got first place and a gold medal and was so proud of herself. We are so proud of her too!
