Recently, our family enjoyed the (probably) last really hot day of summer by attending an Oktoberfest celebration at Oaks Amusement Park in SE Portland. As Brielle likes to ask, "Do I look stylish?" Yes.
We met up with Kraig's work friends, Charles and Candace, and their three kids.
Before going on the rides, we spent some time in a beer/dance hall to enjoy some large pretzels and dancing. Ronan and I apparently have the same "cheese" face.
Ronan was feeling a little under the weather and just wanted to have me carry him out onto the dance floor to move around a bit. But Brielle was ready to boogie. At first, Tatum danced with one of the twins while the other one looked a little lonely. I told Brielle it was okay for her to borrow one of the twins for dancing...
...and she did!
Brielle is at such a wonderful age where she's self-confident and likes performing in front of others. We hope she doesn't lose that.
Then it was time for the rides. The last time Ronan went there, he was just a baby and slept through most of the outing. But this time he was old enough to go on several of the rides.
Brielle was brave on the ferris wheel.
Whee! Down the slide with the family (and an extra kid)!
Ronan loved driving in the car so independently with his favorite person.
